[ED: Taschenbuch], [PU: Corgi Books], First published in 1998, this is a study, based on DNA sequencing, that traces the porphyria stain through the genealogical maze of Europe's royal dynasties to the present day descendants of the Houses of Hanover and Windsor, and the consequences it might have had on the history of Europe and North America. Ich habe das Buch nur zur Recherche über Charlotte von Preußen und ihre Tochter Feodora gebraucht- es war aber schwer zu bekommen und musste aus England geordert werden (was mich leider dann auch Zoll kostete)- es befindet sich in einem guten Zustand und ist sehr interessant. Bei mehr Interesse- bald erscheint meine Biographie über Feodora, eventuell schon zu Weihnachten 2022- die erste und umfassende. ;) Zur Porphyrie- das Leiden war bereits seit dem Jahre 1911 als Morbus Günther bekannt, was im Buch fehlt, aber noch nicht näher erforscht. Daher konnte man auch Charlottes und Feodoras Leiden nicht einordnen. Die Hämophilie des Zarensohnes ist bekannt und er litt an der schwersten Form, was auch im Buch fehlt- war mit 14 Jahren ein Krüppel- seine Lebenserwartung betrug etwa 20 Jahre. Charlotte starb an einem Herzinfarkt (1919), da hat jemand bei der deutschen Wiki nicht gut recherchiert, wenn man mal schaut- im Archiv in Meiningen liegt ihr Totenschein- die deutsche Wiki schreibt an Krebs, das ist nicht korrekt.
